I heard a little voice calling “mommy, where are you?” about 4am in the morning.
“I am here”, I murmured.
Ivan’s bed is only right in front of ours. I crawled to check on him. Usually he will say he wants water or milk or he probably has dreams.
“I love you mommy”, he uttered.
My heart melt, “I love you too darling”, I replied. I went to the loo and check on him again later, he was fast asleep. I adored looking at his sleepy face, looks just like the father when he sleeps.
“I love you” is a rare word I used with my Chinese educated parents. I reckon it is due to their conservativeness, I was not raise to say I love you; instead, we used action to show our love to our dear parents. I remembered I had to attend a 3-day motivational course by Ernest Wong back in college. After getting to know the real me, I changed. I started to show more love to my parents. I seize every father’s or mother’s day to express my love in words to them. A simple “爸妈,我爱你。” (Mom & dad, I love you).
Hehe, they may be shy, but looking at how careful they keep those cards, I know deep down their hearts, they love it.
I just hope that Ivan won’t stop telling us he loves us.

I am feeling much better now; I was down with flu early of this week and took mc on Monday and Tuesday. I went for my monthly check up on Monday. It went all well but can you believe it, I am still not sure about the baby’s gender. Baby shut the leg tight and could not see anything. Doc said could be a girl because there is no penis to be found anywhere. Hah! However, she said my tummy is still 2 cm smaller than usual size. Hmm… that makes me worried a bit and worse she said I seem to squeeze my baby. HUH?? It is due to excessive coughing. Err… I was having real serious cough a month ago but no more wor. Anyway, I am trying to gulp as much of food as possible now.
Ivan is getting cheekier by the day and I think he has a little bit of stress as well from school. He constantly woke up in the morning asking me “Are we going to school today?” If my answer were yes, he would protest and ended up crying sometimes. His form teacher told me that he could not write “number seven” very well. Hmm…poor boy! Must be hard for him to do all this when what he wanted was playing.
He is very well aware of the baby now.
“kakak take(s) care of Ivan, not baby.” He exclaimed.
“Then who takes care of baby?” I asked.
“ Ivan”.
“Oh..good! So you help mommy to take care of baby okay?”
“Okie-dokie”
“Where is baby mommy? Here (pointed to the left of my tummy) or here?”(Pointed to my right tummy) “Baby is this whole big tummy.”
“Oh…”

On the way to grandma’s house,
“Daddy look, look, Monster, Monster, arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…..Ivan is so scared. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr” covered eyes with his tiny palm. (He was referring to the Dinosaur signboard)
Hubby was telling me this episode. Ivan talks very loudly nowadays; you can see nerve on his neck while he shouts. Daddy put his index finger on his mouth trying to lead him to speak softly.
He ranted out with thumping feet, “Why…you don’t understand….bla blab la…I will send you to Ms. Ho’s office”. When Sri trying to interrupt he said, “You too, send you to Ms. Ho’s office”. (Ms. Ho is his principle in kindy, if he fails to finish homework, he will be send there). * shake head *
That seems to be his way of dealing with comment he doesn’t like.
He took this pic with my hp.
Last night on the way home from mil’s place,
Ivan: Later, Ivan is gonna die….
US: Silence…
Daddy: Who taught you that?
Ivan: Never answer but continue with If Ivan die how? How? How?
Mommy: Ivan, enough edi, see there is a moon.
Wondering should I explain to him what death is.

Many blogger friends have been asking me whether I still Bead. As my beading site also disappear from my blog and I seemed quiet. In fact, I stop for a while already. Reason being, “Pantang, Pantang and Pantang”. I am a very filial daughter wei, I listen to what mommy said. Hah!
Mom had sewed sitting on top of her bed while having my brother. Later my brother was born with small tiny little holes on his ear loops. Since then, she always advise, don’t snip, snap, sew on your bed or better bedroom. I also scared la, don’t want anything to happen to my baby.
Nevertheless, I do “curi curi” make a few in my living room instead before Chinese New Year. It’s a bit troublesome as I got to bring all tools and beads there. Here are some of those pieces. There are not for sale la, for personal use only. How do you like it?
