I woke up early on Sunday morning while everybody was still sleeping soundly; taking opportunity of the serene surrounding, I browse through some blogs and did a couple of bracelets. Later, I checked a few un-open envelopes. I was a little annoyed with one of the 2 credit card’s bill that I have, the charges were quite ridiculous considering I don’t owe much. Already not happy with their services, I cut the gold card into two with a pair of scissors. Crazy me right? Ha-ha! I decided to look for another bank that could offer something better. A friend of mine just passed me a link of YOU:NIQUE picture card service by Alliance bank. It’s a credit card that lets you design your own card face and customise your own features, meaning you can put your kid’s face or family photos on the credit card surface. It’s quite COOL ler!

That’s not the end yet; it also gives cash rebate up to 2% for ALL retail purchases, flat finance charge of only 9% p.a and 2X reward points for ALL local and overseas purchases. It’s really simple to apply, only 3 easy steps. If you apply before 31 May 2009, you could enjoy waiver of RM38 joining fee and 3 years of annual fees!

There is a YOU:NIQUE “Sweet Family Moments” Photo Contest running at the moment too. Just put your favourite family snapshot on your Alliance Bank Credit Card and stand a chance to win a Nikon COOLPIX  camera, 10 x ipod Shuffle 1GB and 20 x RM50 Cash Rewards. WOW! I am going to join NOW! J

I woke up with a heavy heart this morning. Ivan was hysterical last night; I have not seen him behaved like that before. He woke up quiet as usual getting ready to school. When we reached school, I asked his headmistress how is he doing in school and I was told he is a bit slow. He stared down at the floor; the sunlight makes the three dark- red scratches at the side of his cheek and nose bridge obvious. At that moment, a taste of lemon juice flows through my heart. I started thinking, is it me or is it the systems that make him behave that way? The headmistress told me that their study is getting tougher and tougher as they are preparing them for Chinese school.

“I thought he is improving?” I replied. “Yes, but compare to others, he is a bit slow.” Frankly, I felt down after hearing what she said at that moment because I think Ivan has done marvelous already in terms of his mandarin. But I must admit, he is not so good in BM and English, which needs a bit of hard work. I must really spend more time to be with him. He scratched himself on the face while saying “I will destroy myself” last night. He is whispering to me now, lost his voice from too much crying, kicking and throwing things. Guess I will too behave that way for having to work so hard with so little fun at age 5+. My husband used to tell me, “Fun and learn” (school’s name) only learn and there’s no fun at all.

Today, he came to me submitting this lovely box and told me. “Mommy, this is for you to put your watch.” Doesn’t it look lovely? But I only have so few watches, may be I should put my handmade jewelry in there instead. :)

It’s been a long time since we brought the kids out for excursion, especially adel. Due to her demanding-ness at this terrible 2 stage. Thanks to labour day and mommy is less stress and more at ease, we woke up early and head to midvalley to get a glimpse of the various monsters and dinosaurs on display. Both the kids got a little quiet and reserved due to the oversized display and its eerie sound… adel clinged on tightly to daddy all the time.

For the price that we were paying, I didn’t expect much. To pay RM 8 for kids 5-15 for entrance ticket is reasonable. Surprisingly, there were plenty of crowds and we spotted a family came with body guards as well. Guess everybody loves Dino.
