I woke up with a heavy heart this morning. Ivan was hysterical last night; I have not seen him behaved like that before. He woke up quiet as usual getting ready to school. When we reached school, I asked his headmistress how is he doing in school and I was told he is a bit slow. He stared down at the floor; the sunlight makes the three dark- red scratches at the side of his cheek and nose bridge obvious. At that moment, a taste of lemon juice flows through my heart. I started thinking, is it me or is it the systems that make him behave that way? The headmistress told me that their study is getting tougher and tougher as they are preparing them for Chinese school.
“I thought he is improving?” I replied. “Yes, but compare to others, he is a bit slow.” Frankly, I felt down after hearing what she said at that moment because I think Ivan has done marvelous already in terms of his mandarin. But I must admit, he is not so good in BM and English, which needs a bit of hard work. I must really spend more time to be with him. He scratched himself on the face while saying “I will destroy myself” last night. He is whispering to me now, lost his voice from too much crying, kicking and throwing things. Guess I will too behave that way for having to work so hard with so little fun at age 5+. My husband used to tell me, “Fun and learn” (school’s name) only learn and there’s no fun at all.
Today, he came to me submitting this lovely box and told me. “Mommy, this is for you to put your watch.” Doesn’t it look lovely? But I only have so few watches, may be I should put my handmade jewelry in there instead.
I had been very lazy lately, no mood to blog, so sorry. Life is normal to me except my stomach is getting bigger and I find it harder to move around especially trying to get up from a sitting position on bed and the floor.
I went for my 28 weeks check up on last Monday. Guess what? Hah! I know the baby’s gender liao. Yea, I actually took your advice by walloping a pack of orange juice prior to check up. Amazing, baby’s legs were wide open. Gynae said, “ Should be a girl, that’s the vagina”. Well, it does not sound very confirm to me but I like to hear that she is a girl. Phew! I can close shop after this.
We hardly have any trip since arrival of Ivan. We made a trip up to Cameron Highlands last weekend. It was a very pleasant one. Ivan behaved very well the entire 2 days visit. We took Simpang Pulai route. We all enjoyed it very much. This probably would be our last trip before baby pops. It’s a very meaningful trip for Ivan as MIL’s home town is from Tanah Rata, Cameron. Her family used to own a restaurant cum hotel just right beside HSBC bank. They sold the shop to the current owner who sells antiques few years ago. Love the vegetables there, they are so cheap. I bought like 3 bags of them for my mum, mil and ourself. But but but, there is only 1 thing I hate about Cameron. It has got to be their flies, so very irritating especially during meal time. They exist even in clean looking hotels. Ivan was complaining about flies and bugs hitting his head. Haha!

Over the weekend, Ivan has demonstrated his skills of drawing again. Gosh! I was shocked that he could now draw human figure but I was told that he could do that quite some time ago. That sucks! Suck being a mother and not knowing it first hand. *shake head*
The other night when I was reading this pregnancy book and he saw it. He asked to read to him one after another. Hmm..I was quite open with him telling where he came from and how the next bb is coming out, from where. He is pretty sure where he comes from now. Those pictures depict it pretty well. Daddy saw and questioned me. I said, “Aiyah, it’s okay one, I am only having an early biology class with him.”
Do you think it is too early? I am pretty open with Ivan eh? Hah! Perhaps, hopping he could be a doctor one day. Kekekeke!
This is a post to announce that finally my little boy stop crying to school. *Hooray!* It started 3 days ago when the principal herself brought him to the class. She was saying “Clever boy, come, and clever boy”. Wow, those are indeed very effective words to use. For your info, I only boiled egg for a day and never follow yet he still stop crying so it proves that egg boiling doesn’t work. Kekeke!
Bb started yakking a lot lately and started counting his fingers and anything he sees in books. He even echo what teacher said in school. Last night he told me teacher call him “Lazy”. “WHAT? Did I hear it right? Why teacher call you lazy” His reply was “ Because I never stand up”. According to Sri, teacher has to call his name 3 times before he stands up hence he earns himself a title of “LAZY”. What is this? I think teacher shouldn’t call him names lidat. I think I should call to clarify or to screw the teacher. *Blood boiling*. I practiced name-calling with him last night pretending to ask him to sit down, call many other names, and need him to stand up in response to his name. It was a fun game.
Let’s hope he doesn’t give me heart attack anymore by telling me these nonsense. I am gonna call the principal today. *Fuming*
**update: Called the principal, she said “not true”, in the morning, teacher usually pet talk to them asking them to wash face, wake up early and cannot be lazy. Therefore, I love to take it as it is and perhaps my maid was telling me the wrong thing. Just thought if they really do so, a concern phone call will serve as a warning.
